April is Stress Awareness Month, and something we’re sure of is that most of us are carrying more than we let on. Busy minds, families, full schedules, and that low hum of stress that sometimes just won’t let go. 2025 is busier than ever, with no signs of slowing down.
While ‘National’ months like this are helpful to bring attention to the topic, the truth is, stress doesn’t wait for a specific month! It’s there in the background for a lot of us. Sometimes it's obvious, like a tight chest or racing mind. Other times it creeps in quietly, showing up as tiredness that won’t shift, snappiness, headaches or that general sense of being overstimulated and disconnected.
At Soul, we don’t have all the answers. But what we do believe in - wholeheartedly - is the power of small rituals. Little moments of calm.
Our products are created with wellbeing at the heart of them, and they do more than just smell nice. Lavender to help you soften into the evening, citrus notes that bring clarity to a busy day, cedarwood to ground you when everything feels a bit much. We’ve chosen each scent with intention and each range mindfully. Whether it’s in our candles, skincare, or reed diffusers, everything we make is designed to bring you back to yourself, even for just a moment.
Studies have even shown that pleasant scents in our environment can lower cortisol levels (the hormone most associated with stress) without us having to consciously do anything. It's a quiet kind of support, but sometimes that’s exactly what we need, right?
Throughout April, we’ll be sharing more on social media about how we use Soul products in our own lives to manage stress, and we’d love you to join in. Whether it’s a candle that marks the end of your workday, a relaxing soak with our hand and body wash, or simply noticing how a familiar scent makes you feel - it all counts. These aren’t big, dramatic changes. Just small things, done with intention.
And that’s the point, really. Stress awareness doesn’t have to mean overhauling your whole life. It can start with one quiet moment. One deep breath. One flicker of light.
You deserve that!
