I can’t be the only one who is just in disbelief that it is already almost the end of 2022. Where has the year gone?!
While I’m looking back at the last 12 months, I just want to take the opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to every single one of you! It actually makes me quite emotional to think of how you have all stuck with me…the world is a little bit topsy turvy right now and yet the loyalty I have seen from you all is just so overwhelming. So thank you, SO MUCH.
We’ve had an incredible year! Get yourself a cuppa because it’s a long, wild ride!
JANUARY
New year didn’t start off quite as I’d hoped, with the Grammys and Oscars being postponed…as you will know we supply our Soul candles for the goody bags and I was gutted at the thought of potentially not being able to do that again this year!
January saw our Plug-ins return after a long period of them being unavailable! Launching them again was so exciting and you all went crazy for them! We also launched our multi purpose marbles which went down a storm and I personally love them because they’re SO cute and versatile.
FEBRUARY
After a very busy January, February was a little quieter, though just as exciting because we launched our leopard print Believe! I cannot believe (ha - no pun intended) how popular this was! The glass is so incredibly gorgeous and so on trend so I shouldn’t have been surprised though!
MARCH
You’ll be pleased to know that the Grammy’s and the Oscars took place this March and once more, we were thrilled to see our candles in the goody bags. It still blows my mind to think of all these celebs with my candles potentially in their homes! Imagine - Idris Elba could be sat with a coffee and a Soul candle lit as I write this! We also launched our Car Diffusers and our new scent Sereñity this March, plus Soul turned 5! Another whirlwind month… but one I am SO grateful for.
APRIL
In April we focussed all of our attention on supporting a cause very close to our hearts - National Stress Awareness month. The whole point of Soul is to help you support your wellbeing and our scents are designed with exactly this in mind.
MAY
Another awareness month that we threw ourselves into wholeheartedly - National Mental Health Awareness Month. Over the last two months we had giveaways and competitions and I spoke to so many of you about how Soul has helped you in your times of need. Something I am forever going to be proud of. So thank you to everyone who shared their stories with me.
JUNE
In June we launched our much requested loyalty scheme rewards and referrals system! So those of you sharing your love for Soul and recommending us to others would get rewarded for your loyalty and passion for our brand. It’s so important to me to give something back to those of you supporting my small business.
JULY
Another incredible product launch - our Believe Summer Star edition! Our Believe range had a makeover just in time for Summer! Still with that same gorgeous sweetness scent, but now in a gorgeous star print, hot pink glass in collaboration with the lovely Becky from @beckyhomesweethomeaccount.
AUGUST
A month with epic highs and very low lows. We were thrilled to launch our Travel with Soul sets , so that you could take Soul on your holidays this year and enjoy the benefits no matter where you went! But then the dreaded Royal Mail strikes hit…Whilst I understand strike action, it is SO damaging for small businesses like mine. I’m so thankful for your patience and understanding as the impact of the strikes was such a stressful time!
SEPTEMBER
A big one for me personally as I turned 40! My 30’s were absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see what my 40’s brings…
OCTOBER
October saw us launch our Enrich and Tranquillity ranges. Enrich is blended with those gorgeous warmer scents Saffron, Amber, Moss & Fir. Perfect for unwinding and helping you fight insomnia. Tranquility is a mood lifter, filled with ylang-ylang which is renowned for reducing stress, anxiety, sadness & tension. Just in time for possibly the most stressful season ahead!
NOVEMBER
One of my favourite launches - Christmas! The scents of our Christmas collection are absolutely stunning and this year we gave them a new look and design too!
DECEMBER
So many of you are giving Soul as gifts this year! From our bespoke gift boxes to our festive scents - it makes me so happy to think of how many new people we will be reaching this Christmas. So thank you - for choosing to shop with me.
WHAT’S NEXT?
2023 will be a year of new beginnings for Soul and I can’t wait to see what next year has in store! Soul has always been more than just a ‘candle company’ to me, it’s a lifestyle choice. I want to help you add a little Soul into every area of your life and it means so much to me to be able to support so many of you with your wellbeing, whilst also looking and smelling incredible!
